• July 9/11 - Congrats to Dave and Tara Barfoot who had a little boy named Oliver.  He is looking forward to playing the guitar someday soon.

 

 

  • March/11 - Congrats to Sharon and Gerald on the safe arrival of their third child, a sweet little girl (Gemma).

 

 

  • May 22/10 - Congrats to Dave who married Tara Barfoot in Kitchener on Saturday May 22nd.  A fun wedding with lots of great performances and especially their favorite band playing the reception (Steerage).

 

 

  • March/09 - Congrats to Sharon and Gerald on the safe arrival of their second boy (Connor).

     

     

  • February/07 - Steerage celebrated it's 5th year anniversary as a band at Bentley's and Molly Blooms.  Thanks to everyone who came out to these events, Steerage really appreciated it.  Who knows where we will be in another 5 years.

     

     

  • 2007 - Steerage babies on the Way!  Sharon is expecting her first child in the middle of March 2007, she's hoping it will be a St. Patrick's Day Baby (March 17).  Scott's and Kelly just had a baby boy and Rob's wife Karianne is expecting her third child, congrats to all.

     

  • September 16/06 - Steerage would like to thank everyone who came out the Wartburg Street Party, definitely a fun night.

     

  • August 12/O5 -  Steerage played a full weekend in the Beer Tent at the Fergus Scottish Festival in Fergus Ontario.  A great weekend was had by all and were invited back again next year.

     

  • August 6/O5 -  Congrats to Sharon who married Gerald Foran in Dublin on Saturday August 6th.  A fun wedding with lots of Celtic Music and Step dancing (even the bride in her wedding dress).

     

  • Jan 29/O5 -  Over 300 people showed for Steerage's 3rd year anniversary.  Another great night.  Steerage has played over 100 gigs in the past 3 years, and have no plans on slowing down.

     

  • July/04 - On Monday July 26th, 3000 people filled the Avon Flats in Stratford Ontario to hear Ashley MacIsaac and Steerage rock the night away.

  • May/04 - Steerage flew to Dauphin, Manitoba to play at the 2nd Annual Lobsterfest.   When they arrived they were greeted with 6 inches of snow and lots of lobsters.  It was a long weekend for the band but they all had a great time...

  • March/04 - Steerage played to a packed arena (1200 people) at Listowel's 26th Annual Paddyfest.  Destroyer a Kiss tribute band finished the night off with an amazing show, lights, make-up and all.

  • January/04 -Steerage CD Release Party was a great night.  Over 250 people danced the night away at Molly Blooms in Kitchener.  Over 100 people picked up a copy of Overboard...

 
  • January/04 -Steerage has completed there first CD called "Overboard".  They will be hosting a CD release party at Molly Blooms in Kitchener on Saturday, January 31/04. 
 
  • January/04 -Steerage played to another sold out crowd on New Years Eve at the Victorian Inn in Stratford.  350 people helped ring in the New Year  with Steerage and helped bring down the roof (literally).  A great time had by all...

 

  • October/03 - Steerage has started to record it's first CD in the Fall of 2003.  This CD will be collection of all tradition tunes that Steerage loves to play.  The CD should be ready sometime in the new year.  More importantly, get ready for a great CD release party!!!

  • February/03 - Steerage celebrated it's 1st year Anniversary at Molly Blooms in Kitchener on February 1st, 2003.  Over 300 people showed for another great night.  Over 30 gigs and a lot of beer spilt, Steerage had a great first year.  Thanks for coming to our gig!!!

  • July/02 - Original Steerage member Shannon Solomon came home for a holiday from Halifax and performed with Steerage at the Stratford Shakespeare 50th Anniversary Party on Sunday, July 14.  Together Sharon and Shannon dazzled the crowded with their amazing footwork.  Great to have you back for a night Shannon!!!

 

  • January/02 - Steerage played it's very first bar gig to a packed house of 300 people at Kitchener Molly Blooms.  Thanks to everyone who came out, this looks like a start of a really fun group.
